Three Generations

My grandmother married
In a stylish suit
A full-grown woman
Already modern, ahead of her time

My mother married
In long white lace
A teenage girl
Rushing forward, unknown to herself

I will marry
In ivory or white
A lady in between
Confident, but still much to learn

This is really neat, Kelly. Now I want to find photos of my grandparents' weddings.

You will be a beautiful bride.

::blush:: Thanks. You will also be a beautiful bride, and yes, find pictures of your grandparents' weddings! It will change your life. Or maybe just inspire some decent poetry.

Oooh, lovely poem! You and Cara will both be lovely brides. I can't wait to meet whoever you end up with because I just know they will be wonderful people. : )

Thanks for the nice comment. After my momentary freak-out, my dad and I went to Barnes & Noble and pretty much decided a plan that was similar to what you said. Probably next fall I'll take some leveling courses in Psychology and Anthropology and see what I think. I've also been meeting with a wonderful career counselor named Crystal, and she's been super helpful and has offered to help set up appointments to shadow and interview people in the careers that interest me.

Eep, this time of life can be very exciting but also very stressful. It helps so much, though, to have such supportive family and friends like you! Your friendship and support means so much to me. : )
